Ensuring that all our children become 'Confident Communicators' is one of our 5 curriculum drivers. We have designed a high quality French curriculum to provide children with the skills in reading, writing and speaking French, as well as an understanding of the French culture and way of life.

Our intention is to provide children with a solid foundation in French, and a love of the French language, so that they can confidently build on their knowledge and understanding in the next stage of their education.We feel that is vital to ensure that all children have the key knowledge and skills in a language other than English. An additional language is an amazing skill to have and can open up a great deal of further opportunities.

We use a variety of techniques to encourage children to have an active engagement in language lessons: these include games, role play and songs.  Children often partake in language games online using 'Language Angels' combining their language and computing skills.
