Progression in writing

Here you will find our progression in writing document that is used to inform the teaching of writing skills (grammar, writing techniques etc.) at Stanton and aid with assessment of your child's learning. 

These documents clearly show the skills that your child will learn as a writer within each year group during their time at Stanton.

Writing is taught progressively to support your child's progression in learning by building upon previously learnt skills and ensuring full coverage and engagement with the writing curriculum.
