Last week our choir sang at the O2 Arena in London as part of the Young Voices choir. Over 7750 choristers took part in the evening at 22 were from Stanton St Quintin Primary School. ALL of which were absolutely fabulous!
Why, oh why are Top Trumps cards proving so hard to find? Why are they disappearing from the shops? Our legendary sleuth and his assistant cannot understand it. Our heroes begin to wonder if something more sinister might be behind it… Could it be their arch nemesis himself, the brilliant but dastardly Fibonacci?
A lovely end to the term with the church service. Thank you all for coming and to our Mary and Joseph and all the children for re-telling the story of Christmas and finally to Crispin who played us in and out.
Have a wonderful Christmas break and Happy New Year from all at Stanton.
What a fantastic festive day - a delicious Christmas lunch with all the trimmings followed by party games in class. Then Christmas songs around the tree.
Thank you to everyone who came and thanks to the Foss Team for organising.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Four Year 6 students from Rhine Class were very excited to make it to Round 2 of the Young Mathematicians' Competition. They were congratulated on the way they worked as a team to solve a challenging problem in Round 1. So this time they wanted to improve their timings so they had enought time to complete all the challenges. The panel were very impressed with their presentation of the solutions.
This time, they did not make the final but Mrs Matthews was very proud of them especially as they used the bar to visually represent one of the problems.
"A great experience!"exclaimed Jack. All the children explained how they had developed their ability to explain how they solved a problem. Well done.
